Extensive range of training in advocacy work, community organizing and other justice skills .
The Amos commission will shortly announce a full schedule of training programs for United Methodist congregations and the general public in a wide variety of justice related skills, strategies, approaches and methods. These public training events will be open to everyone and will provide empowerment, skills, and new ways of equiping advocates for change.

The Amos Commission deploys a comprehensive approach to empowerment. We help you tackle important community need, using sound organizing practices, ensuring communities build last relationships.
All these programs are geared to help congregations and individuals equip themselves to address the Four Areas of Focus at the very least.... but ensuring we deal with every injustice as we find it.
The Four Areas of Focus decided on by the General Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2008 include:
Combating the diseases of poverty by improving health globally.
Creating new places for new people and revitalizing existing congregations.
Developing principled Christian leaders for the church and the world.
Engaging in ministry with the poor.
